Dougal Bain
His is a voice that warms you. It’s accurate, it’s telling. Dougal Bain now is fully investing in his voice and writing. For nearly a decade previously, his abilities as a multi-instrumentalist established him as a key contributor in the highly celebrated musical landscape in British Columbia. Now, he is set to be the voice that tells the next story. And his will be a story worth hearing.

His debut recording ‘The Path EP’ was captured in July ’12, and was released in November to packed houses at Victoria’s stately Wood Hall and Vancouver’s St. James Hall. The release also saw his debut on Canadian radio. He was a featured new artist twice in one week on 102.7 The Peak in Vancouver, has received airplay on CBC on the Island, CBC North, as well as college radio, and on television for CBC’s Arctic Air.

Now living in Victoria, by way of Nelson, Prince George, and Vancouver, Dougal Bain is composing and arranging his first full length album and performing select concerts and festivals. Since releasing ‘The Path, Dougal Bain was a Top 20 Finalist in the 2013 Peak Performance Project. Dougal performs with a young, talented, and gritty band for live shows and their devotion to the craft is always coupled with a light hearted, and celebratory attitude towards the stage. And with such a strong start to this new chapter in his career, Dougal Bain will be an artist to watch in the coming years.
